Still packing

No, I'm not in Greece yet. Actually, there are two reasons that I posting right now; the first is that this is a welcome distraction from packing. The second is that I just gave this blog address to a whole bunch of people and so I would like to have something at least remotely interesting here, so that people don't click on my link and say "huh, this is dull," and then never return to the blog.

Things are a little chaotic right now; I have to figure out which clothes I need, and which books, and which other miscellaneous items. I'm not very organized, so I have a feeling that I'm going to get to Greece and discover that I've forgotten something terribly important, like all of my socks, or my passport, or my coffee maker. Also, I'm resisting the temptation to fill my suitcase up with lots and lots of books. Someone please remind me that I don't really need to pack the collected works of Shakespeare, JK Rowling, James Joyce, David Sedaris amd John Irving.

I leave tomorrow at 5:40pm and arrive in Greece the next day. But you'll probably hear from me before then.
